Here at Student Housing we have been reforming our policies in line with government advice to make the viewing process for the 2021/22 academic year as streamlined and hassle-free as possible. With this in mind, we are pleased to announce that we have introduced a number of new measures for viewings, with safety as our main priority.
Therefore we ask that once you have found a property you are interested in, get in touch with our team and we can send you both a virtual viewing, and a comprehensive inventory of the property, so you have as much information as possible to help you decide whether you want to proceed with your application.
If you then decide that you are interested in the property and would like to proceed, we will ask each tenant to fill in a provisional application form, and also ask you each to pay a £50 holding deposit in order to reserve the accommodation. From here you will have reserved the property for 14 days, wherein you will be required to submit all of the necessary paperwork to secure your accommodation for next year. You will need to do this within the specified timeframe or the property will be put back on to the open market.
Following this, your guarantors will automatically be contacted via email to fill out a quick online guarantor form. So make sure to give them a heads up to keep an eye out for it.
Once the guarantors of each prospective tenant have completed their forms we can proceed with booking an optional physical viewing of the property where you will be required to wear a face covering and use hand sanitiser before entering the accommodation.
Should you decide to go ahead with the physical viewing you will then have 24 hours to sign the digital tenancy agreement that we will have send to you. If you require more time, we may be able to offer you an extension, please get in touch with us at the earliest opportunity.
